About The Role and Person
Capel Manor College is seeking to appoint an Employability Coach to support learners on our Skills Bootcamps programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to help adults develop the confidence, skills, and behaviours they need to secure sustained employment.
The postholder will be responsible for delivering employability sessions, workshops, and one-to-one coaching, covering areas such as CV writing, applications, interview preparation, workplace behaviours, and digital employability. Working closely with tutors, employers, and the Employer Engagement Team, you will ensure learners are fully supported to progress into work, career advancement, or further training opportunities.
You will also play a key role in identifying and addressing barriers to employment, signposting learners to additional support where needed, and ensuring all outcomes and milestones are met in line with Skills Bootcamp funding requirements.
Please note: This position is subject to funding award and sufficient student recruitment.
This is a fixed-term position working 2.5 days per week.
About You
- Experience of delivering employability, careers, coaching, or IAG support to adults.
- Strong knowledge of labour market trends and recruitment processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and coaching skills, both one-to-one and in group settings.
- A relevant qualification in IAG, coaching, or employability is desirable, but not essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
