FDS Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Fire & Security Engineer to cover Birmingham & the West Midlands. Our Client is a large Birmingham based SSAIB company, that has a combined 40+ years of experience within the Fire & Security Industry. Their client base ranges from residential to commercial clients throughout the UK. Following huge success over the last few years, they are now looking for an experienced senior engineer to join their ever-growing team with the prospects of progressing into a project management role.
Experience and good knowledge in the Fire & Security industry is essential for you to be a successful candidate for this position. You must be confident in your work, reliable, conscientious, hardworking and must have a positive “can do” approach.
Senior Fire & Security Engineer Qualities:- Positive, self-motivated and proactive individual

Your day to day duties will include installing & servicing/maintenance of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, CCTV and Access Control in commercial and domestic premises. It is vital that the candidate can demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with Fire Detection & Alarm Systems. The covering area will be throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands. All works and paperwork must be completed in accordance with British Standards and company policy.
Senior Fire & Security Engineer Essential Knowledge and Experience:- Good knowledge and understanding of BS 7671 (Desired)
- Good knowledge and understanding of BS 5839 (Desired)
- MUST BE strong with Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
- Industry Recognised Formal Qualifications (Desired but not essential)
- Good knowledge of industry leading manufacturers
- Ability to fault find accurately
- Must have a Driver's Licence
- Willing to travel outside of covering area at times
