Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer, OLTP – Technically challenging hands‑on coding role

Successful software technology company based in Slough is looking for a Senior Oracle developer to join their team. The role involves developing robust, scalable Oracle PL/SQL transactional code in a large and complex environment. You will work from the Slough office during probation, then a hybrid model of 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Location & Compensation

Location: Slough, Berkshire, UK.
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Produce high quality software with limited supervision.
• Assist with design, structure and problem resolution of the software.
• Create test schedules and test plans for all software produced.
• Collaborate with customers and colleagues on software releases.
• Advise on future enhancements to the software.

Requirements

• Strong PL/SQL development skills.
• Mandatory knowledge of OLTP, and experience with HTML, SOAP, Web and XML.
• Passion to develop software and remain hands‑on.
• Strong and stable career history.
• Proven experience in a large and complex environment.
• Degree level or equivalent education.

Additional Skills

Experience with Oracle PL/SQL development in a complex environment.
