Operational Resilience Manager, Financial Services, Fully remote

Base pay range: £75,000 – £85,000 + bonus + benefits. Salary determined based on skills and experience.

Established financial services client is looking for an experienced Operational Resilience Manager to lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of their Operational Resilience Framework.

In this critical role you will ensure the company can anticipate, prepare for, respond to and recover from any disruptions that may impact the business.

You will be responsible for ensuring continuity of business processes, maintaining regulatory compliance and coordinating regular mock disaster exercises.

This is a senior role reporting into the Head of Infrastructure and you will engage with stakeholders at all levels, including C‑Suite.

This is a hands‑on role with no management responsibilities.

  • Accountabilities Include‑
  • Lead the development and administration of the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management Programme.
  • Identify and evaluate threats and ensure mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Prepare the annual Operational Resilience self‑assessment.
  • Provide strategic direction to all key stakeholders, including the CEO and CIO.
  • Plan and manage scenario tests.
  • Review disaster plans.
  • Ensure relevant compliance (e. g., FCA).
  • Work as part of the Crisis Management Team.
  • Maintain and test the emergency notification platform.

Skills and Experience Required‑

  • Proven experience in an Operational Resilience, Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery role.
  • Strong understanding of threats, risks, impacts and associated mitigation.
  • Experience working with and advising stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing 3rd‑party suppliers and contractors.
  • Ability to influence and manage challenging situations.
  • A pragmatic approach with the ability to find the right solution.

Ideally you will have a Business Continuity Management certification.
