Financial Service client is looking for a stand-alone lead Azure Cloud Platform Engineer with excellent knowledge of Terraform and proven Azure platform leadership across enterprise scale PaaS. This is a lead hands-on Cloud engineering role where you will be responsible for the design, build, automation and continuous improvement of Azure cloud platform services in a regulated FSA environment.

To be considered you must have worked in a similar Lead Azure cloud role. The role combines practical Azure engineering delivery with technical leadership, architectural design input, engineering mentoring and platform enablement. The successful candidate will lead by example, working directly on Azure platform services, Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, cloud networking, security controls, monitoring, resilience and operational supportability.

You will be comfortable supporting Azure releases (Cosmos, container apps, etc.), working on a variety of greenfield and BAU projects, supporting engineers, working at the architecture level and more. Experience should include architecting Azure landing zones and Terraform based IaC frameworks, implementing multi-stage CI/CD pipelines and large scale platform delivery in a regulated environment.

  • Used to working in a regulated environment - ideally Financial Services
  • Expert level knowledge of Terraform and DevOps (building and maintaining pipelines)
  • Expert level knowledge of IaC and platform automation
  • Used to working at a senior level with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven experience leading cloud (Azure) engineering delivery
  • Ability to mentor and coach when required
  • A career that started in Infrastructure before moving into Cloud and Azure
