Lead Azure Cloud Platform Engineer in a Financial Service environment, responsible for Azure platform leadership across enterprise PaaS. This is a fully home-based role with a salary of approximately £90,000 - £100,000 plus bonus and benefits.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of Terraform and proven Azure platform leadership across enterprise scale PaaS. This is a lead hands-on cloud engineering role where you will be responsible for the design, build, automation, and continuous improvement of Azure cloud platform services in a regulated FSA environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead Cloud Engineering and Delivery
- Architectural Design and Technical Direction
- Infrastructure as Code and Platform Automation
- DevOps, CI/CD and Engineering Enablement
- Security Governance and Regulatory Control
- Cloud Networking, Connectivity and Integration
- Operational Resilience, Monitoring and Cost Optimisation
- Mentoring, Standards and Engineering Culture
Key skills required:
- Azure platform leadership across enterprise scale PaaS
- Experience in a Lead Azure role
- Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services
- Expert level knowledge of Terraform and DevOps (building and maintaining pipelines)
- Expert level knowledge of IAC and platform automation
- Experience working at a senior level with multiple stakeholders
- Proven experience leading cloud (Azure) engineering delivery
- Ability to mentor and coach when required
- A career that started in Infrastructure before moving into Cloud and Azure
