Base pay range Direct message the job poster from FDM Group FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Portfolio Analyst with data modeling experience to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Birmingham. Our client is seeking a Portfolio Analyst whose primary goal will be to support the Head of CTO Change Portfolio Management with the overall delivery of strategic outcomes, supporting business vision and purpose through complex and global change portfolio. The role holder will not own any governed programmes or projects but will be responsible for driving the quality of project data, improving delivery of CTO change initiatives through the project delivery cycle, tracking delivery, and driving improvements to achieve best practice across all aspects of the CTO project life cycle. Responsibilities Ensure that portfolios adhere to the client’s Frameworks and standards Partner with stakeholders at all levels Daily engagement with Project & Program sponsors and change directors Coordination of annual planning activities for CTO portfolios Prepare portfolio update reports, quality procedures, audits, status reports where required Ensuring the CTO portfolio and outcomes are aligned to the organisational strategic requirements and priorities including technology architecture roadmaps, vendor strategies and evergreening strategy Development and ownership of business cases and benefit validation to support transformation, strategy and fast paced business responses to emerging threats and opportunities Supporting management of organisational risks across CTO by ensuring portfolio risks, issues and dependencies are managed effectively and senior stakeholders are informed / updated where appropriate Ensuring that CTO can meet committed outcomes by working with programme teams to navigate challenges and escalate effectively where needed Requirements Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Portfolio Data Modelling Analyst role Understanding of Portfolio management frameworks, methodologies, and best practice techniques Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills Proven experience of exposure to Senior stakeholders Demonstrable experience in Excel Knowledge of technology infrastructure products, platforms and fintech Strong understanding and experience of financial planning processes including forecasting, management of variances and common project accounting principles (e.g. cash, directs and P&L accounting) Critical thinking and pro-active problem-solving skills, able to work to under pressure to challenging timescales and deliver at pace Collaboration skills and ability to engage and bring different teams together Very good time management skills and ability to work under challenging timescales to deliver at pace Experience of continuous improvement Career coaching, mentoring and access to upskilling throughout your entire FDM career Assignments with global companies and opportunities to work abroad Opportunity to re-skill and up-skill into new areas, develop non-linear career paths and build a skillset within your field Annual leave, work-place pension and BAYE share scheme About FDM We are a business and technology consultancy and one of the UK\’s leading employers, recruiting the brightest talent to become the innovators of tomorrow.
