Systems analyst in London

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Systems Analyst to work for our client within the Insurance sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a Hybrid role that will be based in London. Our client reports that the role will sit within one of four Product Management functions and will be responsible for systems analysis. The position sits within a team that forms part of the organisation’s evolving operating model and is instrumental in modernising ways of working. The role requires a hands-on individual with both technical and analytical capability.

Our client highlights that the role will be accountable for delivering the product management vision and associated roadmaps within the assigned Product team, while supporting the full end-to-end product lifecycle. The position will also involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Architecture, Service Management, and Quality & Technical Assurance within a matrix-structured IT organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver the product strategy and long-term vision for their products.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing hardware, software, and IT systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and QA to build and integrate new systems.
• Develop and present proposals for new or modified systems, including cost-benefit analyses, budgets, and timelines.
• Monitor and maintain existing systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure optimal efficiency and uptime.
• Provide support and training to users on new or upgraded systems, and create detailed user manuals and documentation.
• Identify risks associated with new tools, processes and ways of working and establish procedures to mitigate those risks.
• Work closely with management and end-users to define and document system requirements, specifications, and workflows.
• Being an active member of the Product Management team.

Vendor Management:

• Monitor and review vendor performance against agreed KPIs and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including management, clients, and partners, to understand their needs and ensure successful product outcomes.

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with product activities.

Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of product initiatives.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

About You:
