FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Business Analyst to support engagements within the Asset Management sector. This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract role with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid position based in London. This role sits within a data-focused delivery environment, working on strategic initiatives across client-facing functions. You will partner closely with business, data, and technology teams to deliver high-quality data solutions, improve reporting capabilities, and support transformation programmes within asset management.
Responsibilities:
- Drive business and data analysis across complex change initiatives, working closely with product owners and stakeholders.
- Gather, document, and translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and validate data requirements, ensuring accurate and meaningful reporting outputs.
- Contribute to solution design across data programmes, considering people, process, technology, risk, and controls.
- Work within agile delivery teams, engaging with developers, testers, architects, and business users.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst within Asset Management (essential).
- Strong understanding of asset management processes and operating models.
- Experience in data modelling, process design, and delivering data-driven solutions.
- Strong technical exposure including SQL, cloud data platforms, and relational/non-relational databases.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Experience working in agile environments with a track record of delivery within scrum teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in business/data analysis.
