FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to work for our client within the Fintech sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.
Our client is seeking to onboard a Java engineer with predominantly full stack experience and a desire to join an established agile squad, to deliver new requirements and fixes for client projects. In this role, you will be expected to maintain high quality coding standards, make use of AI tools, and collaborate with squad members in delivering towards sprint goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement front-end changes and APIs to enhance and maintain an International Processing Engine (IPE) application providing clients with real-time back office settlement operations.
- Implement secure coding standards, validate user inputs, manage authentication and authorization flows, and ensure alignment with enterprise and regulatory security requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaboration & Project Management: JIRA, Confluence.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD, containerization, deployment pipelines, and related automation tools.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional development experience with focus on service-oriented or micro-services based back-end Java development.
- Exposure to front end development using modern frameworks.
- Background in Spring Boot and core Java development.
- Proficient in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with large relational databases.
- Enthusiastic and professional, with a drive to work on challenging projects.
