FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Lead to work for our client within the insurance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London. Our client is seeking a BI Lead with at least 8 years of experience in BI and Data.

The BI Lead is responsible for designing and delivering impactful visual representations of data that drive strategic insights and support informed decision-making within the organisation. This role involves leading a team of analysts, ensuring the effective use of data visualisation tools, and collaborating within agile delivery teams to meet business objectives. The BI Lead will champion best practices in data visualisation and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of analysts focused on data visualisation, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Ensure the use of best practices in data visualisation techniques and tools to create intuitive and compelling outputs.
  • Actively participate in Agile delivery teams, contributing to delivery planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data visualisation needs and deliver solutions in an iterative manner.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data by conducting regular data audits and validation checks.
  • Identify data discrepancies and collaborate with data owners to resolve issues.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance reporting processes and tools.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data analysis and reporting.
