About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Cyber Security Manager to work for our client within the private sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a fully onsite role that will be based in Brighton.
As a Cyber Security Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating your efforts to protect digital assets, information systems, and networks from cyber threats. This will involve a mix of strategic planning, leadership, and technical expertise to ensure that security measures are properly implemented and followed.
You must be proactive, result-oriented, structured, and able to operate under pressure in a changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust, company-wide information security strategy
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Optimize existing tools and integrate advanced technologies to ensure the highest level of data protection against loss, manipulation, breaches, leaks, and malicious encryption
- Tailor the strategy to the company’s many different roles, systems, and departments, ensuring seamless security integration across all operations
- Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis
About You
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in Cyber Security
- Strong knowledge and experience in information security and cyber security, threat analysis, risk management & compliance
- Expertise in security frameworks (including NIST)
- Ability to effectively and constructively check and challenge
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption methods, and cyber-attack vectors
- Experience with regulatory compliance such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS
- Passion for staying ahead of cyber threats
