About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Knutsford.
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst with at least 5 years’ experience to support the ongoing evolution of their corporate banking services. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team working at the intersection of business and technology, helping to deliver impactful initiatives across areas such as payments, cash management, lending, and trade finance.
In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping requirements, streamlining processes, and supporting the delivery of platform enhancements and strategic change programs. You’ll work closely with stakeholders from across the business, operations, and technology to help define and implement solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements for corporate banking initiatives
- Analyse existing business processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, automation, or optimisation
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and user stories that guide development
- Support solution design, working with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives
- Participate in and help facilitate workshops, interviews, and working groups with stakeholders at various levels
- Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accurate delivery and alignment with objectives
- Assist with change management and training activities as new systems and processes are introduced to the business
About You
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
- Solid understanding of corporate banking products and services, including cash management, payments, commercial lending, or treasury
- Strong experience in creating business process models, use cases, user stories, and functional documentation
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including technology, compliance, operations, and front office functions
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Excel, and other business analysis or documentation tools
