We Are Looking For: Our client is a leading global distributor of aerospace parts and materials to the OEM and Aftermarket segments. The Onsite Representative will provide a seamless flow of material and ensure that inventory levels are maintained in accordance with contractual requirements. They will proactively triage issues that may arise daily and assume responsibility for resolution. This role will be based at the GKN site on the Isle of Wight.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Monitor inventory by reviewing plans and making recommendations to achieve customer directed inventory levels.
- Expedite and resolve any shipping, delivering, or ordering issues that may impact inventory replenishment.
- Receive material from distribution centers to fill customer bins to ensure continued customer supply.
- Monitor quality of material to ensure that the supply available to the customer is conforming and immediately usable.
- Ensure that contractual reporting requirements with the customers are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate response to customer's ad-hoc requests including items such as requests for data, reports, and alternate sourcing.
- Represent the brand and maintain strong working relationships to all assigned VMI customers at the highest level.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment; identify and report unsafe equipment to prevent workplace injury.
- Gain a knowledge and understanding of products and value-added services provided by organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills):
- 3-5 years of sales experience in the aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of inventory management and practices.
- General warehouse management and aerospace experience preferred.
- Proactive problem solver and strong analytical skills with demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately, multi-task, and work well under pressure with changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
