Following the retirement of the current DFO, Sutton Grammar School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed Director of Finance and Operations (DFO).
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join one of the top performing state grammar schools in England, and play a key role in its future development.
A member of the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide strong leadership while managing and developing the school’s non-academic functions to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards in all the school’s activities.
The DFO will take executive responsibility for the financial management and direction of the school and, as the senior administrative officer, manage the support staff.
You will have:
- a relevant accounting/finance qualification with senior leadership hands-on and strategic experience.
- be skilled at reviewing, enhancing and developing financial management systems, operational policy, procedure and delivery, and bring experience of managing and successfully developing teams.
You will:
- lead on HR for the Trust.
- be able to contribute and challenge effectively and establish strong working relationships with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and the Trust Board, supporting organisation-wide strategy where appropriate.
