About the role
Our client, a growth-stage FinTech serving international markets, is seeking an experienced London-based Fractional CFO to help steer the company through its next stage of development. This is a hands-on, board-facing appointment for a commercially astute finance leader who can combine capital markets thinking with practical, day-to-day finance leadership. Working three days a week alongside the founder and leadership team, you will own the financial strategy, lead fundraising and investor relations, and provide the financial rigour needed to support an ambitious growth trajectory.
Key responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, planning and forecasting, and act as the senior finance voice to the CEO and Board
- Drive investor fundraising activity, including preparation of investor materials, financial models and data rooms
- Support the company's public markets ambitions, working closely with NOMADs, brokers and advisers through an AIM admission and beyond
- Build and maintain robust financial controls, reporting and governance to support a scaling business
- Provide commercial insight on pricing, unit economics and capital allocation
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, investors and advisers
Responsibilities
- Qualified accountant (ICAEW / ACCA / CIMA) with senior finance leadership experience
- Proven track record within FinTech, ideally with exposure to digital assets and/or payments
- Demonstrable experience of AIM admissions and working with NOMADs
- Strong investor fundraising credentials, from investor packs through to close
- Experience operating at CFO or Finance Director level in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience of scaling finance functions in early-to-growth-stage businesses
- International or cross-border finance experience, ideally including African markets
- Prior fractional or portfolio CFO experience
