About FCS Compliance

FCS Compliance is a specialist compliance consultancy supporting regulated firms across the UK. We’re best known for our work in the property sector, helping estate and letting agencies apply practical, risk-based AML controls—from policies and firm-wide risk assessments through to training, advisory support, and CDD file reviews. We focus on clear advice, high standards, and documentation that stands up to regulatory scrutiny. Much of our work is time-sensitive and transaction-led, where strong judgement matters as much as technical knowledge.

The role

You’ll deliver end-to-end CDD across a broad range of customer types and ownership structures. This is a hands-on role for someone who can analyse risk, navigate imperfect information, and produce clear, audit-ready write-ups.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Completing CDD/KYC on individuals (ID&V, address verification, risk factors, file notes).
  • Undertaking CDD on UK and overseas corporates, including registry research where available, mapping ownership/control, and identifying/verifying UBOs.
  • Reviewing complex structures (layered entities, offshore, nominees, trusts) and evidencing reasonable verification steps.
  • Running and assessing PEP/sanctions screening and adverse media checks; escalating potential matches appropriately.
  • Requesting and reviewing source of funds/source of wealth evidence (proportionate to risk) and summarising conclusions.
  • Producing concise, defensible CDD write-ups with a strong audit trail.
  • Managing multiple matters to deadline and escalating red flags promptly.
  • Helping improve templates, checklists, and internal workflows.

About you

Essential:

  • Practical CDD/KYC experience covering individuals and corporates, including exposure to overseas entities.
  • Comfortable interpreting ownership/control and identifying/verifying UBOs from imperfect information.
  • Confident using screening tools and open-source research to validate ownership and key individuals.
  • Strong written skills (clear rationale, succinct risk notes) and excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised, dependable, and able to prioritise in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have:

  • Trust exposure (trustees, settlors, protectors, beneficiaries).
  • Experience in property, legal, accountancy, TCSP, or financial services environments.

Location & right to work (important)

This role is fully remote within the UK. Applicants must be currently resident in the UK and already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. Please note: we cannot offer visa sponsorship now or in the future, and we cannot progress applications from candidates who are based overseas.

What you’ll get:

  • Salary c. £35,000 (DOE) discretionary performance bonus.
  • Pension and holiday allowance.
  • Equipment and support towards professional development/qualifications (subject to passing probation).
  • Varied casework, including complex structures, with support from experienced AML professionals.

How to apply

Please apply with your CV and a short note summarising your CDD experience (including corporates/overseas exposure and any trust/complex structure work), and any screening tools you’ve used.

Equal opportunities: We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates and assess on skills, experience, and role requirements.
