My client is a leading training provider, providing and delivering exceptional apprenticeships for the child care profession. You would be working within the safeguarding department, engaging with learners both online and within the academy. No two days are the same; you need to have empathy and patience, but the role is very rewarding as you will see the learners grow and succeed within their work placements across the UK.

Main Purpose of Role:

A key role in helping create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning experience, supporting learners both academically and personally to help them reach their full potential over our virtual learning environment, to become the next generation of practitioners.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support tutors and training staff in delivering engaging learning sessions tailored to individual learner needs.
  • Work with learners on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to support literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities via the virtual learning environment.
  • Provide targeted support for learners with additional needs, including SEND, helping them access learning effectively.
  • Assist support coaches in promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and participation in sessions.
  • Help maintain our safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with learners to support confidence, motivation, and independence.
  • Support monitoring of learner progress and provide feedback to tutors and the Success and Engagement Manager.
  • Assist EPA leads where required, supporting learners in preparation for assessments and progression.
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive learning behaviours at all times.

Key Objectives/KPI's:

  • Support Lecturers on teaching days, and meet with learners in small groups or 1:1.
  • Complete NWOWs and Support Plans under the direction of SEM.
  • Provide 1:1 support with learners as indicated on the Support Plan.
  • Update learner contact diary timely for SEM/ILR audits.

Specific aspects of the role:

  • Build positive relationships with learners to support confidence, motivation, and independence.
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive learning behaviours at all times.
  • Provide targeted support for learners with additional needs, including SEND, helping them access learning effectively.
  • Ensure evidence is audit ready in terms of contact diaries and support plans under the direction of SEM.
