Welcome to FCMS! We are looking for enthusiastic GPs to join our ever-expanding team. As a GP with FCMS you will provide excellent patient care whilst playing an active role in clinical governance and training clinicians. We are a high-performance team with complimentary talents and skills, who consistently show high levels of innovation, focusing on the best quality of care for our patients. We pride ourselves on an open and honest culture and show dedication towards peer support.
As FCMS we provide several services across the Fylde Coast, Morecambe Bay, Rossendale, West Lancashire and Doncaster as well as diagnostic services across the country. These include GP Out of Hours services, Urgent Treatment Centres, and a range of other Primary Care Services including Enhanced Access (Fylde Coast) and Special Allocation Services (Lancashire / Cumbria/Parts of Cheshire and Merseyside).
Main duties of the job: For this role the GP would work within our Special Allocation Service which is a GP practice for difficult to treat patients and those with complex needs. This is a remote practice. However, face to face appointments are undertaken in the patient's community at a clinical venue or in our mobile clinical unit with a Patient Liaison Officer present based on a risk assessment of the patient's needs. The GP would also undertake telephone/video assessments for consultations when appropriate. Appointments are made according to clinical need via Patchs and documentation is via EMIS. We are a trauma informed service, and this ethos underpins our services. We can also offer the opportunity to learn and develop your skills through our Inclusion health business unit. The Special Allocation Service forms part of this business unit. The successful GP will also support our homeless health nursing provision in both Blackpool and North Lancashire and Thornton House Rehab.
