Post: Teacher of Apprenticeship Programmes
Hours: This is a permanent role, part-time flexible position, 2 days per week (0.4FTE), flexible to the needs of the cohort, which may include some evenings as the programmes develop. Days to be agreed with the successful candidate.31 days annual leave per year pro rata, excluding Bank Holidays etc.
Pay: £40,000 – £49,000 pro rata, based on experience and expertise

Job Summary
The Training Team and FCMS are keen to recruit a motivated, experienced teacher to co-create and develop a range of apprenticeship programmes in order to contribute to internal and external staff development. Working with the Department for Education is a brand new direction for the Training Team and represents an opportunity for the right candidate to build, drive and grow their own portfolio of programmes. You will be responsible for building and maintaining cohorts across internal business units and external companies, using apprenticeship standards that are linked to FCMSs current areas of expertise. There is extensive education experience within the existing Training Team who are ready and able to support.
Day to Day Duties to include, but not exhausted:
- To positively promote and embody the core FCMS values.
- To be directly involved in the delivery and management of inclusive learning, teaching and assessment to an outstanding level.
- To be fully conversant with programme specifications in order to create and maintain a relevant learning experience for apprentices.
- Ensure conformity and best practice across the teaching team through regular review and sharing of practice, including moderation and internal verification.
- To drive apprentice recruitment internally and externally, leading on apprenticeship meetings with employers and steering the apprenticeship relationship with all stakeholders.
- To effectively use and comply with FCMS systems and procedures as part of the apprenticeship offer, including use of OneFile and the government portal for tracking, reporting and qualifying.
- To maintain current knowledge and practice in teaching pedagogy and subject specialisms.

Essential:Experience teaching post-16, creating a curriculum from a specification, tracking and monitoring progress of students through their learning journey. Possession of a recognised teaching qualification (minimum level 5).
Desirable:Apprenticeship delivery experience, employer engagement linked to a programme of learning, familiarity with quality regulation, intent, implementation and impact processes and programme review structures. Possession of Assessor and Verifier awards, or willing to obtain within 1 year of appointment.
