We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist/Driver to join our team here at West Lancs Out of Hours GP Service, Ormskirk Hospital. You will need to be a minimum twenty-five years old for car insurance purposes. Full training will be given at mutually agreeable times.
Role: As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various software applications. As a Driver, you will provide a professional and high-quality driving service for the GP Out of Hours Service.
Post responsibilities:
- To provide a professional and high-quality driving service for the GP Out of Hours Service.
- To provide a high-quality reception service at the West Lancs Out of Hours GP Service.
- To be able to follow strict procedures and protocols at all times.
- To work with the clinical team and liaise with our other services to support safe and effective service delivery, ensuring patients receive appropriate care in a timely manner.
- When necessary, to be able to complete stocktakes of medical equipment.
- Using a Patient Record system; experience of Adastra would be an advantage.
- To complete routine administration checks when working overnight.
- Ensuring full patient confidentiality at all times.
- To work individually or as part of a team.
- To undertake all relevant training consistent with the requirements of the post.
- To be flexible in roles undertaken according to the business need.
- To be available especially on the overnight shifts but with flexibility to work during the day when required.
- To handle drug stock and replenish when used.
- To undertake vehicle checks.
- To report any vehicle problems to the appropriate person.
- To maintain and attend all mandatory training.

- A full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of two years.
- Over twenty-five years of age for driving company vehicles.
