Base: Blackpool Victoria Urgent Treatment Centre Urgent and Emergency Care, Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Overview of Role: You will be working within the Blackpool Victoria Urgent Treatment Centre team providing a professional and high-quality driving service for the GP Out of Hours Service. You will need to be a minimum twenty-five years old for car insurance purposes. The Service works on a 4 weeks rolling rota. Full training will be given at mutually agreeable times.
Day to Day Duties include, but are not limited to:
- To provide a professional and high-quality driving service for the GP Out of Hours Service
- To follow strict procedures and protocols at all times
- To work with the clinical team and liaise with our other services to support safe and effective service delivery, ensuring patients receive appropriate care in a timely manner
- When necessary, to complete stocktakes of medical equipment
- Using a Patient Record system; experience of Adastra would be an advantage
- To complete routine administration checks when working overnight
- Ensuring full patient confidentiality at all times
- To work individually or as part of a team
- To undertake all relevant training consistent with the requirements of the post
- To be flexible in roles undertaken according to the business need
- To be available especially on the overnight shifts but with flexibility to work during the day when required
- To handle drug stock and replenish when used
- To undertake vehicle checks
- To report any vehicle problems to the appropriate person
- To maintain and attend all mandatory training

- A full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of two years
- Over twenty-five years of age for driving company vehicles
