FCMS call‑handling department is recruiting Health Advisors for our 111 Team.

  • Contract – Permanent
  • Hours – Full Time and Part Time, flexible and fixed hours. We are looking for predominantly evening and weekend staff.
  • Location – Newfield House, Vicarage Lane, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY4 4EW
  • Salary – £13.00 per hour while training and £13.13 per hour after shadowing. Shift premiums: 20:00‑24:00 Mon‑Fri 30% and all day on Saturday and Sunday 45%.

Core module One course starts 29th June 2026. You must be available to attend the full training session (no absences permitted).

Responsibilities

Provide fast, accurate, and effective patient telephone call‑taking for 111, identifying the best route of care. Work a highly varied and dynamic environment handling mental‑health calls, providing CPR guidance, and arranging ambulance services. Manage a high call volume, staying calm and professional in challenging situations. Your work will support roughly 27,400 calls per week across the 111 service.

Nationally, the 111 service operates 24/7. FCMS provides 111 coverage from 7am to midnight, 365 days a year. You must be able to work shifts throughout evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays. Full‑time, part‑time, flexible, and fixed contract shifts are available.
