Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for two Mental Health Support Workers to join a mental health-focused residential service based in Anstey (GL5). This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering full-time work and the chance to progress into a permanent role. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs in a safe and structured residential environment. The role involves both day and night shifts, so flexibility is essential.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to individuals with mental health conditions in a residential setting
- Promote independence and emotional wellbeing through consistent, person-centred care
- Assist with personal care, medication administration, and daily living activities
- De-escalate challenging behaviours in a calm, professional manner
- Maintain accurate care records in line with safeguarding and data protection protocols
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, attending staff briefings and following care plans
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential driving is required for this role)
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends and sleep-ins
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and pass enhanced DBS checks
Preferred Candidate Profile
- We are looking for one male and one female candidate, or two female candidates
- Candidates must live within commutable distance of Anstey or be willing to travel/relocate
