The primary goal is to minimize engineering downtime while providing continuous improvement support. Main Responsibilities Perform all mechanical engineering activities safely and professionally, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company policies. Conduct planned maintenance, breakdown response, and statutory checks. Collaborate with the Engineering Team Leader to prioritize workload and allocate resources efficiently. Work as part of the engineering team, especially during night shifts, to minimize downtime and prioritize critical tasks. Complete shift reports detailing completed work and outstanding issues. Be available for additional hours to address emergency situations. Improve machine availability and reliability. Manage contractors, including induction and permits, ensuring safe and compliant work on-site. Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental policies, utilizing permit-to-work and isolation systems when working on mechanical systems. Ensure that all mechanical equipment can be safely isolated according to legislation and best engineering practices. Participate in an on-call system for mechanical fault response outside normal working hours. Contribute to business-related projects, both engineering and non-engineering.
