Job Opportunity: Electrical Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are a well-established, highly respected independent manufacturer in the corrugated packaging industry, dedicated to producing high-quality products from sustainable sources. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the everyday operations of our corrugated board manufacturing process.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
  • Liaise with company personnel to ensure seamless production.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.
  • Perform emergency maintenance as required to minimize downtime.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities.
  • Order necessary parts from suppliers and maintain stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations during maintenance work.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Calibrate equipment and system components.
  • Service and refurbish machinery to extend operational lifespan.
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly, including machine diagnostics.
  • Inspect machine parts and ensure they meet performance standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Operate and use lathes efficiently.

Experience & Education

  • Proven experience working in a demanding production environment.
  • Hands-on engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with workshop tools, including lathe operation.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures in an engineering environment.

Working Hours

Weekly rotating shift pattern: (There can be some flexibility, if required)

  • 06:00 – 14:00
  • 14:00 – 22:00
