Role Overview: Responsible for technical leadership and oversight of compliance-focused engineering across infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for compliance-focused engineering activities.
  • Ensure all solutions meet regulatory, security, and organisational standards.
  • Monitor, interpret and apply emerging compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, security teams, service owners, and other staff throughout the lifecycle.
  • Own and drive root cause analysis for recurring issues, identify systemic weaknesses, compliance risks and operational gaps.
  • Implement remediation and preventative controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, introducing improved controls, automation, monitoring and governance practices.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of infrastructure, cloud technologies, compliance frameworks and secure operations.
  • Mentor junior staff members and cover for senior staff in their absence.

Qualifications:

  • Practitioner-level experience supporting hardware, software and systems in an enterprise or secure environment.
  • Agile and ITIL Foundation level experience.
  • Experience with cloud technologies within an enterprise or secure environment.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills, stakeholder management and key performance reporting.
  • Expert-level Microsoft role‑based certification and relevant product certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in ITIL4 environments is advantageous.
  • Must be able to create an Excel spreadsheet formula.
  • Comfortable managing and leading team members under high pressure.
  • Security clearance: Security Check (SC) clearance required.
