Responsibilities
- Manage, coach and mentor the team that identifies and analyses security incidents, develop incident recovery plans and provide security consultancy to the organisation and other customers.
- Lead on threat intelligence, implement pre‑emptive measures, and perform post‑incident reviews to mitigate future issues.
- Use latest tools to investigate and recover from cyber security incidents in servers, laptops and other complex software systems and infrastructures; conduct checks to monitor compliance with incident response and recovery plans.
- Make recommendations on the potential business impact of vulnerabilities and promote security awareness across the organisation.
- Take responsibility for the performance of a Senior Incident Responder and oversee the work of a Practitioner Incident Responder.
- Support a 24/7 on‑call service with colleagues to investigate and remedy cyber security issues that arise.
- Contribute to the professional development of the team through guidance, knowledge sharing and collaborative learning.
Qualifications
- Incident management, investigation and response certifications such as CySA+, ECIH, GCIH, GCIA, GFCA, CRIA or their equivalents; cybersecurity accreditations such as CISSP, CISM or CISA are desirable.
- Some people management experience and practical knowledge of information risk assessment and risk management; understanding of threat intelligence and assessment.
- Ability to monitor threat compliance, testing of controls, manipulate and interpret data, and produce clear technical documentation is a plus.
- Desirable familiarity with leading security tools and frameworks for incident response and forensic analysis.
