Senior Technical Threat Intelligence Analyst in Hanslope

Salary: £51,241 plus a location allowance of £1,750 and excellent benefits.

Location: Based in Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes with occasional travel to London and overseas sites. Free shuttle bus available between central Milton Keynes and Hanslope Park.

In this role you’ll:

• Analyse operational technical surveillance countermeasures.
• Assist with strategic technical threat assessments.
• Support research and development activities.
• Produce specific reports using a range of intelligence and information sources.
• Lead the delivery of technical security incidents.
• Respond to requests for threat advice and guidance.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver detailed consulting projects.
• Ensure that all analysis work conforms to Professional Head of Intelligence Assessment Common Analytical Standards.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Managing relationships with third-party suppliers of data, tools and specialist skills.
• Acting as a trusted source of technical threat expertise.
• Deciding how analysis and outputs should be tailored and classified for different audiences.
• Building relationships with external providers of intelligence and information.
• Contributing expert advice to working groups and professional bodies.
• Taking ownership of the production of technical threat assessments.
• Identifying, evaluating and developing new sources of data, tools and techniques.
• Identifying gaps in current analytical methods.
• Sharing tradecraft with less experienced colleagues.
• Providing expert peer review and challenge on the work of other analysts.

To be successful in this role you should have:

• Working knowledge of scientific and engineering principles that underpin technical security countermeasures.
• Capability of reading large amounts of complex material and drawing meaningful, evidence-based judgments.
• Sound understanding of risk and mitigation in a technical threat environment.
• Proven analytical capabilities in either qualitative or quantitative data analysis.
• Willingness to develop competence across these to support all-source assessment.
• Education to a minimum of Level 3 in a technology-related discipline.
• Flexibility and adaptability for diverse projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to present complex analysis to a range of audiences.
• Networking and building professional relationships with stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
