Job Summary
You will design, configure, and implement network solutions to meet business requirements under changing priorities. You will collaborate with project managers, developers, incident and problem managers, and external suppliers, translating technical terminology and maintaining trusted relationships.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure and implement network infrastructure to meet business requirements.
- Oversee IT operations that protect millions of users.
- Coach and lead a team of engineers, setting direction and ensuring high performance.
- Escalate service issues, produce high and low level documentation, and communicate clearly with authority.
- Identify patterns, address recurring issues, and recommend process enhancements that raise the standard of technical services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Good working knowledge of network protocols.
- Experience with Cisco switching, routing, security and wireless technologies.
- Knowledge of virtual environments and virtual network solutions (e.g., VMWare, Azure).
- Experience in secure, complex environments, including firewalls, cloud platforms and resilient solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical terminology.
Technical Expertise
Comfortable designing, configuring and supporting solutions that keep systems resilient, producing documentation, reporting on key performance measures, and sharing knowledge with others.
Leadership
You’ll balance people management with hands‑on technical work, managing day‑to‑day tasks and resolving incidents quickly, mentoring junior colleagues and maintaining your own professional growth.
