Salary: £38,332 - £39,558 plus a location allowance of £1,750 and excellent benefits.

Contract type: This is a permanent, full-time role.

Location: Based in Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes with the flexibility of hybrid working depending on business need.

Key Responsibilities: In this challenging, high‑profile role you will create, maintain and support the delivery of the organisation’s knowledge and information policies. This includes information and records management, information sharing, information legislation, intellectual property and the use of data repositories. You will build important networks while providing expert advice on the implementation of knowledge and information management to a diverse range of colleagues and stakeholders. You’ll also develop robust and efficient information architecture for our data repositories. Key tasks include:

  • Conducting audits that monitor and measure compliance with legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Championing good knowledge and information management across the organisation.
  • Managing paper and digital records.
  • Transferring relevant documents to the National Archive.
  • Attending conferences on behalf of the business.

You will meet people from many other government departments, build networks and promote the importance of good knowledge and information management throughout our global organisation.

Qualifications: To be a success in this significant role you should possess a relevant RQF Level 3 qualification, a Foundation Certificate in Information Governance, or an IT/computing qualification. Substantial experience of content management systems and databases is essential. You should also have practical knowledge of organising information (including taxonomies, dictionaries and glossaries, meta‑tagging and standards) and a practical understanding of all relevant policies and procedures. Your exceptional attention to detail will see you drafting high‑quality reports, interpreting data and presenting findings to a variety of audiences. A confident speaker who can develop relationships at all levels, you should bring fresh, innovative ideas and be ready to develop creative initiatives and embed processes. Practitioner level CSEG KIM Accreditation would be desirable, as would some knowledge of FCDO Services’ business. You should be self‑motivated and inspirational, ready to lead colleagues on a journey of continuous development and improvement.
