As a Maintenance Technician at FCC Environment, you will carry out both planned and reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance to support the efficient running of the Wrexham Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) Plant. You’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly, safely and efficiently. This is a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on site equipment
- Supporting breakdown repairs to minimise operational downtime
- Assisting the Process Engineer to ensure compliance with site requirements
- Maintaining plant equipment safely and efficiently
- Reporting and investigating incidents, damage or faults promptly
- Supporting and contributing to process improvement initiatives
- Managing contractors to ensure safe systems of work are followed
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards across the site
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health, safety and environmental standards
What are we looking for?
- Experience as a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer in an industrial environment
- Mechanical and electrical qualifications (e.g. C&G, HNC or HND)
- Experience working with equipment such as PLCs, conveyors, balers, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and maintenance systems (CMMS)
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- A willingness to work in a practical, industrial environment
