Salary – £34,235 - £39,044 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 40 hours per week, shifts with 6:30am starts or 8am starts
Location – Havering, RM12 5BF
As a Waste Collections Supervisor at FCC Environment, you will lead and support a team to deliver effective and efficient waste services, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards, company procedures, and environmental legislation. You will manage resources, monitor service delivery, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining all necessary documentation and systems.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Supervising a team of operatives and contractors to deliver safe and compliant services
- Ensuring health & safety, environmental and quality standards are always met
- Conducting daily/weekly audits and risk assessments
- Monitoring KPIs and maintaining high levels of performance
- Managing rosters, time sheets, absence, and holiday planning
- Maintaining site paperwork and operational systems
- Delivering staff communications and coordinating training
- Supporting continuous improvement in service and efficiency
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team
- Background in the waste industry or a similar operational environment
- Strong organisational, auditing, and planning skills
- Management/Supervisory qualification and IOSH certificate
- Full UK Driving Licence (Category B essential; LGV desirable)
- Proficient IT skills and flexibility in approach
- Refuse or recycling experience is a bonus
