Salary: Competitive Salary of £40,000 (plus Company Car/Car Allowance)

Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Location: Homebased (UK-wide travel required)

As a Property Surveyor at FCC Environment, you will support the Senior Land & Property Manager in managing the FCC property portfolio across the UK. This role plays a key part in supporting operational teams, development activity and landlord and tenant matters, ensuring best value is achieved, and property interests support the wider business. This is a full-time, homebased role with regular travel to sites and offices as required.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the Senior Land & Property Manager with the management of the FCC property portfolio
  • Assisting with landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals and negotiations
  • Supporting bids and development activity, including site finding, heads of terms and liaison with agents
  • Managing consultants and external advisors to support operational and development needs
  • Supporting insurance valuations, annual reviews and liaison with insurers and agents
  • Assisting with business rates matters and interfacing with retained rating agents
  • Managing rent receivable and payable schedules in liaison with finance teams
  • Supporting renewable and energy development projects on FCC sites
  • Maintaining accurate property records, including SharePoint estate systems
  • Attending meetings and providing property updates and reports as required
  • Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with FCCs SHEQ policies and procedures

What are we looking for?

  • A degree-level qualification in property, planning or a related discipline
  • At least two years post-qualification experience in property management, landlord and tenant or lease negotiation
  • MRICS qualified or working towards APC
  • Knowledge of property-related legislation and basic planning/permitting knowledge
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work remotely and travel regularly
  • Commercially minded with a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • A confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Flexible and resilient, able to manage changing priorities
