Hours – 20 hours per week, Sat–Sun 04.30 to 15.00 (AM shift) 11.30 to 22.00 (PM shift).
Location & Postcode – Waltham Forest, E10 7AS.
This vacancy is for a part-time weekend position, working 2 days per week.
What will you be doing?
- Supervising and co-ordinating street cleansing operations across the borough
- Supporting operatives to provide a high-quality, efficient service
- Monitoring health, safety, quality and performance standards
- Ensuring compliance with environmental and H&S legislation
- Leading investigations and disciplinary procedures where required
- Conducting staff training, licence checks, safety briefings and equipment inductions
- Liaising with local councils, stakeholders and contractors
- Promoting recycling, resource efficiency and continuous improvement
- Using Asset Go, CMS and Microsoft Office for operational reporting
About you
- Supervisory experience in street cleansing, logistics or environmental services
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Clean driving licence (LGV/CPC desirable)
- Competent with IT systems, including Microsoft Office, CMS and Safeguard
- Safety conscious, proactive and detail focused
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Professional, reliable and able to work independently
- Flexible, with the ability to travel between sites if required
