Site Attendant
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 48 hours per week, 4 Days per week
Location: Bryn Lane HWRC, Wrexham, LL13 9UT
As a Site Attendant at FCC Environment, you will help to ensure the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible running of our site. You will play a vital role in supporting recycling, site safety, and excellent customer service to members of the public.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
• Assisting with the safe and efficient operation of the site in line with health & safety, environmental, and company policies
• Helping members of the public use the site safely and responsibly
• Maintaining site security, unlocking and locking the site, and ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy
• Supporting recycling by preventing non-recyclables from entering restricted bays and ensuring hazardous waste is managed appropriately
• Cleaning and maintaining site facilities, offices, and welfare areas
• Recording site activity and keeping accurate records as required
• Reporting any accidents, hazards, or unsafe practices promptly
• Carrying out emergency procedures when required (e.g., fire, spillages, first aid)
• Meet and greet, checking for prove of residency. Checking and challenging trade waste deliveries.
• Bag splitting operation, maximising recycling which contributes to the site KPIs
• Completing weighbridge documentation and tickets for waste movements
• When trained operating mobile plant for skip compaction to maximise payload and availability.
What are we looking for?
• Experience of working with the public and providing good customer service
• Knowledge of plant and machinery operation and inspection (desirable)
• Experience of record keeping and completing paperwork accurately
• A polite, courteous, and professional manner
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Honesty, hard work, and a positive attitude towards health and safety
