Location – Eastcroft EfW Plant, NG2 3JH
As a Day Operator at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the Eastcroft EfW facility. You will support the day to day running of the weighbridge, tipping hall, overhead cranes and heavy plant machinery, contributing to the safe movement of vehicles, environmental monitoring and overall site performance. This vacancy is for a full time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Supporting the safe operation of the weighbridge, tipping hall and ash hall
- Operating overhead cranes, Telehandler and other site machinery (training provided)
- Coordinating vehicle movements and ensuring all visitors are properly inducted
- Completing housekeeping and ensuring equipment is safely stored and maintained
- Recording and reporting accidents, incidents and near misses
- Carrying out environmental checks to minimise odour, dust, noise and emissions
- Assisting with waste intake, load inspection, weighing and dispatch of vehicles
- Reporting defects and completing daily machinery checks
- Supporting maintenance activities and providing cover across the team
- Working collaboratively within a small, motivated team to deliver compliant operations
What are we looking for?
- Skilled & Capable: Able to operate (or willing to learn to operate) overhead cranes, Telehandler and weighbridge systems; Comfortable working in a busy industrial environment with moving vehicles; Familiar with basic computer applications
- Safety Focused: Understands the importance of safe working practices; Has an awareness of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation; Is committed to reporting hazards and ensuring safe, compliant operations
- Team Driven: Works well within a small, supportive team; Communicates clearly with colleagues, contractors and visitors; Contributes positively to team decision making and problem solving

Essential training (IOSH, Duty of Care, licensing, CMS modules) will be provided where needed.
