We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our team in this key frontline role, responsible for the safe and efficient collection of waste and recycling across the local area. Working as part of a crew, you will operate a Class 2 vehicle, complete scheduled rounds, carry out daily vehicle checks and support with loading when required, ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures while delivering a reliable and professional service to the community. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week; however, the nature of the position requires a flexible approach to working hours, and regular overtime may be necessary.

What you will be doing
- Driving and operating a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Supporting the collection and loading of waste and recycling
- Completing designated rounds in line with schedules
- Following all health, safety and environmental procedures
- Working as part of a team to ensure service delivery
- Undertaking manual handling duties
What we are looking for
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- Previous driving experience (waste industry desirable)
- Good knowledge of driver hours and holiday regulations
