As an Environment Advisor at FCC Environment, you will provide advice to managers on all environmental matters, including energy performance, ensuring the company meets its statutory obligations. You will play a key role in supporting compliance, providing technical expertise, and driving continuous improvement in environmental performance.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Advise managers on all environmental matters, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations
- Keep up to date with environmental legislation and ensure implementation within the organisation
- Conduct environmental inspections/audits and prepare reports on company operations
- Support management in resolving non-compliances and developing remedial strategies
- Provide expert advice, support, and training on environmental and waste legislation
- Support sites in completing required reporting (waste returns, performance, pollution inventory)
- Attend meetings to present and discuss environmental matters
- Develop and deliver environmental training courses
- Assist with internal and external audits (including ISO standards)
- Review and implement new environmental legislation and guidance
- Support the Radiation Protection Co-ordinator as required
- Carry out other duties as required by the Environment Manager
About you:
- Degree educated with at least five years’ technical management experience in waste regulation and compliance
- Proven track record in developing and implementing departmental strategies
- Experience in training, auditing, and implementing new procedures and systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Resilient, adaptable, and performance-driven
- Comfortable with public speaking and conflict resolution
