As a Plant Operator at FCC Environment, you will operate mobile plant to support the safe and efficient acceptance and placement of waste inputs. You will be expected to maximise void utilisation, maintain site equipment in line with company procedures, and deliver a consistently high level of customer service.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Operating mobile plant to manage waste inputs safely and efficiently
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental legislation and company procedures
- Carrying out daily plant checks, including basic maintenance, cleaning and refuelling
- Reporting faults or defects promptly to maintain equipment performance and safety
- Supporting site housekeeping standards, including welfare facilities
- Assisting with plant maintenance activities in line with schedules and manufacturer guidance
- Reporting incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions
- Promoting excellent customer service on site
- Identifying and managing non-conforming waste
What are we looking for?
- Valid plant licences/tickets (e.g. Bulldozer, Excavator, Loading Shovel, Dumper or similar)
- Experience operating heavy plant within a waste, landfill or similar environment
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Awareness of site compliance and operational procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative
- Reliable and safety-focused approach
- Hard-working with a proactive attitude
