As a Mechanical Engineering Manager (EfW) at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering projects and supporting operational performance across our Energy from Waste (EfW) fleet. You will play a key role in developing engineering standards, improving plant performance, and ensuring safe and compliant operations.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Deliver mechanical projects and improvements across the EfW fleet
- Develop and implement fleet-wide mechanical engineering standards
- Provide expert advice and practical solutions to site-based technical issues
- Support safe systems of work and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
- Monitor engineering projects on site to ensure best practice and design standards are met
- Support the development and optimisation of EfW plant performance
- Contribute to maintenance systems and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance on mechanical safety issues and support incident investigations where required
- Represent FCC in technical meetings and contribute to industry best practice discussions
What are we looking for?
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Membership of a recognised engineering institution (desirable)
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
- Experience in a senior engineering or maintenance role within power generation, EfW, or similar
- Strong knowledge of safe systems of work, permit systems and engineering standards
- Experience working in technically complex, high-performing environments
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Ability to manage projects, stakeholders and third-party contractors effectively
- A proactive, resilient and performance-driven approach
