Hourly Rate – £17.66

Hours – 46.25 hours per week

Location & Postcode – Pepperhill, DA13 9PA

As an LGV Driver at FCC Environment, you will provide safe, compliant, and efficient vehicle operations across our Pepperhill Transport operations. You will be expected to support our delivery and collection services, ensuring legal compliance and consistently high safety standards.

This vacancy is for a full time position, working 5 days per week.

We are looking for a professional, safety focused and reliable LGV Driver who can represent FCC Environment to customers, colleagues, and the public. You must be able to work independently, make safe decisions, and operate vehicles to a high standard while complying with all regulations.

What will you be doing?

  • Safely and efficiently operate company LGVs in line with customer and site requirements
  • Provide an effective delivery and collection service for customers or branches
  • Ensure all loads comply with legal, environmental, and safety regulations
  • Complete vehicle checks and ensure any vehicle driven is mechanically safe and compliant
  • Follow all current legislation, company rules, and health & safety procedures
  • Use correct tools, PPE, and equipment at all times and store safely after use
  • Report accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately
  • Drive within the law at all times, using digital tachographs appropriately
  • Promote safe ways of working and help identify improvements

What experience and skills do you need?

  • LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) entitlement
  • Driver CPC qualification & Digital Tachograph card
  • Experience driving bulk carriers and articulated units
  • Knowledge of Kent waste transfer stations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Completion of relevant Competency Management System modules
  • Driver Qualification Card with 35 hours CPC completed
  • Safety conscious and professional attitude
