LGV Driver CE (HGV Class 1)
Hourly Rate: £17.42 per hour
Hours: 46.25 hours per week
Location & Postcode: Smallmead, Reading, RG2 0RP
As an LGV Driver CE at FCC Environment, you will provide safe and efficient operation of company vehicles, ensuring effective delivery and collection to customers or branches as necessary. You will be expected to comply with all legal, safety, and environmental requirements and maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week, plus one in three Saturday mornings.

What will you be doing?
- Safely operate company vehicles, ensuring all loads comply with legal and environmental requirements
- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules, procedures, and codes of practice
- Conduct vehicle checks to ensure mechanical safety before use
- Report any accidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions to line management
- Maintain professional communication with colleagues and customers/clients
- Work with minimal supervision as part of a team
- Adhere to Drivers’ Hours & WTD regulations
What are we looking for?
- LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) entitlement – essential
- Drivers’ CPC qualification and Digital tachograph card – essential
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Safety-conscious with strong adherence to health and safety procedures
- Good geographical knowledge
- Experience with walking-floor bulk trailers is an advantage
