As an Operations Manager at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of 11 recycling centre sites across Suffolk, ensuring high standards of service delivery, environmental compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will lead operational teams, manage site performance, and ensure services are delivered in line with contractual obligations and company objectives.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of recycling centre sites in line with the Contract and FCC objectives
  • Leading and supporting operational teams, including Area Supervisors
  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe systems of work are in place
  • Monitoring site performance to ensure services are delivered safely, professionally and efficiently
  • Ensuring environmental permits, planning permissions and contractual requirements are met

Experience Required:

  • Experience in an operations management role, ideally within waste, recycling or a similar environment
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and environmental compliance requirements
  • Experience of risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Ability to manage performance and deliver against operational targets
