As a Junior Procurement Advisor at FCC Environment, you'll support the Procurement team with day-to-day activities, help manage suppliers, and assist in delivering cost-effective and compliant procurement solutions across the business. You'll work closely with Senior Procurement Advisors, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to make sure contracts, processes, and systems run smoothly. This is a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the procurement of goods, services, and projects across the business
  • Assisting with supplier approval, contracts, and supplier relationship management
  • Reviewing quotations and supporting price negotiations with suppliers
  • Helping maintain and improve the group supplier base to maximise value and efficiency
  • Working closely with the SHEQ team to ensure suppliers meet health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Supporting managers with procurement advice and guidance
  • Assisting with tenders, specifications, and evaluations in line with company policies
  • Helping to identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities
  • Managing ad hoc procurement queries and issues
  • Supporting the development and improvement of procurement systems and processes

What are we looking for?

  • At least 1 years experience in a procurement or similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • The ability to manage your own workload and work to deadlines
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Good relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • CIPS qualification desirable (or willingness to work towards)
