Location – Rotherwas, Hereford
As an HGV Driver Class 1 at Severn Waste Services, you will operate a Hook Lift HGV to manage the transportation of waste between company sites within the Worcester or Herefordshire area. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our waste management processes and upholding our high safety and service standards.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Undertaking lorry driving duties by taking waste for disposal at our various facilities in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire area
- Performing daily vehicle safety inspections and reporting any defects
- Operating hook lift equipment safely and in line with procedures
- Securing loads in compliance with safety systems
- Maintaining accurate driver records and complying with transport legislation
- Wearing issued uniform and PPE at all times
- Interacting politely with the public
- Performing any additional tasks reasonably required by your line manager or supervisor
What are we looking for?
- A qualified HGV driver with a clean C+E driving licence
- Full training will be given on using our articulated hook loader
- Knowledge of the local area is advantageous
