Hours: 42 hours per week, shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off
Location: Lincolnshire EfW, LN6 3QZ
As a Day Operator at FCC Environment, you will provide safe, compliant and efficient operation of the site, supporting the day-to-day running of the Lincoln Energy from Waste facility. You will be expected to operate site machinery and equipment, including cranes, loaders and the weighbridge, while ensuring all activities are carried out in line with FCC procedures, environmental permits and health and safety requirements. This vacancy is for a full-time position.

What will you be doing?
- Operating the weighbridge, cranes, front loader and other plant equipment safely and efficiently
- Supporting safe traffic management and vehicle movements across the site
- Ensuring all loads are recorded, weighed and processed correctly in line with procedures
- Carrying out inspections of incoming waste and reporting any non-conformances
- Maintaining housekeeping standards across the tipping hall and operational areas
- Carrying out routine checks and front-line maintenance of plant and equipment
- Supporting environmental monitoring activities and ensuring compliance with permits
- Assisting with site inductions for visitors and contractors
- Recording and reporting accidents, incidents and near misses in line with procedures
What are we looking for?
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and environmental requirements
- Ability to operate plant machinery such as loaders, cranes or forklifts (desirable training provided)
- Experience or awareness of weighbridge operations and Duty of Care requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work flexibly across a range of operational tasks
- Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety and compliance
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with computer systems
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility when required
