As a Service Delivery Manager at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of waste and recycling collection services, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery in line with contract requirements. You will lead operational teams, manage resources effectively, and ensure all objectives and KPIs are met. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of waste and recycling collection services
  • Leading and supporting operational teams, ensuring high performance and compliance
  • Managing staff, vehicles, and equipment efficiently and in line with legal requirements
  • Acting as a key point of contact for the client
  • Monitoring performance data and identifying improvements to service delivery
  • Supporting the implementation of new processes, initiatives, and service changes
  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Supporting recruitment, training, and employee welfare activities
  • Working closely with senior management to identify risks and improve service delivery

What are we looking for?

  • Experience managing operational contracts and leading teams
  • Strong understanding of waste, recycling, or environmental services
  • Proven ability to meet KPI targets and manage service performance
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification (or willingness to work towards)
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with operational or fleet management systems is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A proactive, motivated approach with strong leadership skills
