As an HGV Driver at FCC Environment, you will play a vital role in delivering waste collection services safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is a practical role where no two days are the same, working both independently and as part of a supportive team. This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Carrying out waste collection duties, including driving HGV vehicles and loading waste
- Completing work to required cleanliness standards and timescales
- Working safely at all times and wearing appropriate PPE
- Completing daily vehicle safety and defect checks
- Reporting vehicle defects, incidents and near misses promptly
- Using electronic systems to log job progress and report issues
- Ensuring vehicles are not overloaded and are operated lawfully
- Complying with drivers’ hours legislation and tachograph requirements
- Representing FCC Environment professionally with customers and council officers
- Maintaining high service standards and supporting other services where required
What are we looking for?
- A valid HGV/LGV Category C Licence
- An up-to-date Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience working in the waste or similar operational environment
- Good knowledge of health & safety and manual handling
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and a reliable approach
