Electrician

Hourly Rate – £18.60 per hour (plus benefits)

Hours – 47.5 hours per week, 7am to 5pm

Location & Postcode – Darrington, WF11 0AH

As an Electrician at FCC Environment, you will carry out effective planned maintenance along with remedial repairs, following routine statutory electrical testing. You will be based at Darrington Quarry, but covering the surrounding quarries, the position is varied and exciting with the opportunity to work on a wide range of equipment.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?

– Attend emergency breakdowns.
– Electrical and mechanical faults find.
– Provide temporary fixes and permanent solutions to maintain operation.

What are we looking for?

– Trained to City & Guilds/ONC, ideally with a working knowledge of BS7671 18th edition.
– Conversant with the Electricity at Work Act.
– Able to read electrical drawings.
– Familiar with industrial mobile and fixed plant.
– Have working knowledge of PLCs, Inverters, Drives and Motor control circuits etc.
– To be a self-motivated problem solver, able to work under your own initiative.
– Good diagnostic skills with the ability to provide a logical approach to fault finding.
